ABOUT BOTSWANA:

With an average yearly growth rate nearly 4% over the last decade – and 5.29% before COVID-19 - Botswana has proved itself as a steady economy on the African continent. Growth in Botswana’s economy saw its GDP increase from USD 12.78 billion in 2010 to USD 18.36 billion in 2019, and with a Purchase Power Parity of USD 17,120 in 2019, Botswana is one of the few countries within the continent to sit above the global average. Despite COVID-19 impacting Botswana’s economy in 2020, the country is still well positioned to continue on its trajectory of further growth, with estimates showing that the country will grow its GDP by 7.4% and 5.9% in 2021 and 2022 respectively. As a country with a robust legal framework holding onto significant mineral wealth, Botswana is and will continue to be an attractive market to trade in.
