The inaugural WhyAfrica Seminars took place 5 September – 13 September 2019 across key Australian capital cities—Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth.

Organized in collaboration with Austrade, DFAT, and the Export Finance Australia, the theme for the first ever seminars centred on business opportunities in Africa.

Representing the region, Australian High Commissioners from Nigeria, Ghana, Mauritius, South Africa, Kenya; Austrade CEO and representatives; Director of the Export Finance Australia, and Australia Africa University Networks representatives participated in the two-week program engaging with the Australian business community, state and federal governments, and industry associations.

The seminars connected with 500+ government, industry, and academia representatives. The program was largely supported and prompted through Austrade’s State Directors, AACC sponsors – Dentons and KPMG.
